The Poly X Supershow
Night visions. We sang along. A simple tune, with a refrain. But the words were good. I'd never heard them before, but they fit perfectly. They felt good on my skin. I started singing along. The song grew. The song filled my heart. The song filled my lungs. I sang louder. I sang more. The song grew until it filled my soul. It's not a song you'd hear at a party. It's not a song you'd hear at a wedding. It's not a song you'd hear at a funeral. The words were good. They were also confusing. They were different, and that difference confused me. It had happened before. My sense of self was confused. The words were good, but they were also confusing. They were different, and that difference confused me. It was almost always happening. My body was confused. I was different. I was myself.
